A= Arby's

(I've never been to a restaurant that starts with y, or z, so I went on to a.)
My restaurant that I chose is the Arby's restaurant. Since it's a fast-food restaurant, there's no waiters that come and take your order, but whenever I go the lines never seem to be too long, and they move relatively quick. When you order the food, it takes a little while for them to get it too you, but i think it's worth the wait, since their roast beef sandwiches are delicious. They also have really good curly fries.

The Book that Changed My Life.

My favorite book is called The Host, by Stephanie Meyers. The first time I read it was over summer last year, before school started. This book is my favorite book because the idea really interested me. I liked how it showed a different take on the stereotypical view of aliens, and since I'm into sci-fi, I also liked this book a lot. I also liked how both of the two main characters were very likeable, even though they didn't seem to like each other for a good portion of the book.

Bucket List

1) Skydiving- I'd like to go skydiving before I die because, even though I'm not fond of heights, it seems very exciting.
2) Scuba diving- I'd like to go scuba diving and be able to see an underwater reef, because I've seen pictures and they all look really beautiful.
3) Wind surfing-Wind surfing looks really fun to me, and it seems a bit like surfing in the water without the water, which I like because I don't think surfing is for me.
4) Race a go-kart- Go-karts look really exciting to me, and my friend who rides one told me they are fun to drive and race in.
5) Go to a foreign country- I'd love to be able to visit a place like Italy, or France, because I think they seem like beautiful places.
6) Save someone's life- I'd like to be able to save the life of something, like an animal, so that I can help it out.
7) Go on a safari- I'd love to go on a safari to see all the amazing animals in africa.
8) Swim with dolphins- I've always wanted to swim with them, and they seem very sweet and beautiful.
9) Survive a loss- I'd like to do that so that I can understand how to cope with it better, and I'd be able to help others through tough times too.
10) Get an pet that's not considered "standard"- I'd like to get something like a chinchilla or hedgehog, because I think it'd be a new experience to look after one of them.

The Language of Song

http://lyricstranslate.com/en/jueves-thursday.html-0

"Come on, come on. Just do it. Just say 'hi', start a conversation, smile at him, anything... What am I thinking? He sits in front of me every day and hasn't even glanced at me once. Maybe I'm not pretty enough... Maybe it's my hair, or the fact that i'll make a fool of myself that's keeping me from talking to him. Maybe it's because I'm not interesting enough, not original enough, not as fashinable or confident enough, that's keeping me from talking to him... Does he know this is my best skirt, my favorite heels, my nicest top? Does he even notice me? No, if he noticed me he'd be looking at me right now. Does he know how much I notice him? Does he know how much it hurts me to see him not even glance my way... Wait... Is he? Yes, he is! He's looking my way...Oh... He looked away. He doesn't know how I feel... He wouldn't care if  I told him..."

Lucky Blog

I have this small heart necklace that is silver with little gems that are different colors going around the shape of the heart. The gems only outline about half of the heart. The other half of the heart is just silver. The necklace is my favorite necklace because my grandma bought it for me and because I like the way the light bounces off the silver and makes it seem like it's sparkling.

TU Tuesday - CRIME

In the article it talks about how a lincoln man killed his girlfriend and "pleaded no contest to second-degree murder." That made me wonder what second-degree murder specifically is, and how it's different from first degree murder. I found out that second-degree murder is " an intentional killing that is not premeditated or planned, nor committed in a reasonable 'heat of passion'." I also found out that first degree murder is when a murder occurs and it was "deliberate and premeditated." The difference between the two is that second degree murder has no premeditated part.

Creative Contest II Blog

I see two stick figures in the picture, one with its  head on the ground in front of it. To me the picture looks like the person has lost their head, in a way, since the head of the stick figure is on the ground.

SCRUPLES

9. You find a wallet containing $300. By the address, you can tell that the owner is wealthy. Do you keep the money?

No, I don't think I'd keep the money, I'd give the wallet back to the person. I wouldn't keep that money, because it seems like a form of stealing to me. I also think that that's a lot of money to keep, and I think if I kept it I'd start to feel guilty for taking the money. Also, what if there's no license or id of any kind, and the person who lost the wallet is the kid of a wealthy person. They would probably think more about losing 300 dollars than their parents, and would probably try to look for it, which would be bad if I kept the money, because it's basically stealing.

My Blog Idea

You have one chance to travel in time (forward or backward) to any place in the world. Would you travel to the future or past? Where would you go, and why?

If I had the chance to time travel I think I would travel into the future, to a year like 2250, or a time around there. I would travel to the future because I've always found the idea of flying hover-cars and robots, and other things like that very interesting. I would travel to a year like 2250 because I think that would be enough time for new discoveries in technology to be made, and I would want to see if my family line was still existant, and be able to see my relatives from the future, which I think would be really amazing. I think I'd like to see if they've found a cure for all cancers, AIDS, and other diseases. I also think I'd like to see if people were genetically engineered, because scientist now are doing genetic research, and I think it'd be interesting to see how much further the human race has advanced.

Revisions

I like how you talked about your character getting water from the water heaters and how you repeat that "they always forget the water heaters," because I thought it showed that water was a key resource to the character's survival, and that he had to be intelligent enough to remember the water heaters. I also like the idea for the story, because I thought it was different and original because it describes the way he "ransacked the houses." One thing you could add in is how your character looks, because I could picture the empty houses and the sand dunes, but I couldn't clearly picture the character.
